Festival of Syrian Pear (Ahlat Fest)

Every year we host a festival in March in order to promote our village. The name of the festival is Syrian Pear Festival. This name was chosen because our village is one of the places with the most Syrian Pear trees on the island.

The Syrian Pear trees, orchids and anemone plants blossom at this time and present a visual feast for the visitors. Our festival starts with a nature walk and ends with entertainment activities.

Mount Kornos / Kıvanç and Sinai Monastery (Aigia Paraskevi) are two of the points of interest on our hiking trail.
